He'll have no shortage of clothes from that one, Mal.  Maybe even get a decent hauling bag and more than a few trades from it...

Yeah, but Ka-Zar's going to be pissed!

Hmm...I wonder who would win between Conan vs. Ka-Zar(Tarzan?)?

Mikael Bergkvist-

I don't have much advice in terms of inking the right way but I usually work from the finest lines to the thickest lines.  I like to do the small details and then go back and start filling things out like line width and black areas.

I think most artists do it the other way around though.

But one thing I wanted to mention is that I've been much happier with my comic stuff since I started using a magnifying lamp.  I also have trouble seeing things in fine detail and the lamp is a nice alternative to glasses IMO.  To me, it seems less stressful on the eyes and I really like the sharpness I can achieve when working up close.

Sort of the same principle as to why comics are drawn larger and then shrunken down.  For me, using the lamp helps me attain that extra bit of polish that I don't seem to get without it.  Probably due in large part because I don't see all that well anymore.

Carmen Bernado:"Noticed Darren's She-Hulk above.  I sense George Perez vibes in there, Darren"

Thanks Carmen, made my day.  George is one of my two favourite artists (JB being the other).

BTW I like your style, your characer poses are very good indeed, reminds me of Kevin Maguire's pencils.

Interesting that you should see Keven Maguire in my figures, Darren.  I never really followed him, though I was impressed a little bit by what he did in Justice League International back in the day.  JB was my primary focus, while George Perez became an occasional interest (through his earlier Avengers spots and the New Teen Titans run).

In the meantime, here's a little something that I did as a quick sketch... a sort of hint at something that I spent the afternoon doing during a day trip to the beach today.
