22x17...my four year old son requested the characters...it's basically the villains from Super Hero Squad versus the Avengers from the recent TV show...

My interpretation of Phoenix swooping out of her hospital window to go and fight Firelord -- Uncanny X-Men #105.  Sorry for crappy background!

This is the study of light of a composition I'm doing in my free time. Not sure of the coloring yet, and what to suggest in the backgrounds. Maybe some kind of semidestroyed middle age fortress? What do you think?

I haven't had a chance to comment lately, but I wanted to note I really like that Sergio! Is that like a Wizard with carrion crawler?

DC, I think that Pheonix is very cool! I really like how you have the metalic shine worked into her costume, almost like an Iron Man gleam!

Sebastien, that is some heavy ink on the work. It makes it look crisp and clear!

Joe, that is also some great work.

Bill, I love the illustrated Bible verses. It adds a dynamic to the Scriptures that is rarely appreciated these days.

Thanks Dale. You're right, It wants to be a sort of magician-semi-elfian_warrior trying to invocate/control the "carrion crawler" as you say. I wanted the moment to seem dangerous like "If he don´t control the beast, he would really be in trouble". That´s way he's so concentrate.

Anyway, I'm still with doubts about the colors and the posible shadowed background.

I picture the carrion crawler as a noctunral creature with fluorescents,  like a creature of the Drow Underdark. If you're looking for colours then incorporating some sort of bioluminesence on the creature would probably work very well!

Something like this...
