I think at this point all the crazyness that Trump has already been responsible for would effectively act as a safeguard against people taking an order for him to launch nukes seriously. Different if it was a President who had up until that point acted rationally. But is anybody going to give Trump the benefit of the doubt in a scenario like that? I have to have faith that people would consider the source and act (or in this case not act) accordingly.

I've coined the term "disghausted" to describe how wrecked I am at the tail-end of the Trump era. The damage this... man(?)... has done to our society is going to last for decades.

Yeah, in a general sense, I'm sure Trump hasn't been doing the job in any meaningful way since losing the election.
His general order of business has been: 1. Try to subvert election outcome 2. Play golf 3. Give everything else to Pence

I think Joe needs to work to sew up the loop holes the criminal used to his advantage. Things taken for granted that gentlemen would never do are now precedents for a crime spree. And with Parler finding a new web host apparently, FBI should be monitoring their posts, making arrests wherever appropriate. Things that should be obvious, like the president and Feds doing their jobs, but a new time so a reminder is needed.

Beyond scary.
Shouting for Pelosi & running around with guns & zip ties. What would
they have done if they had found her.
If they had been black, I cannot believe the same restraint would have
been shown by the authorities.
I also think the ramifications would have been way worse.
I really do worry for Wednesday.

If this is true they should be expelled from their positions in government. I’ve been avoiding the news until Wednesday, but might have to see if this is a true statement.

I think Lauren Boebert is going to have a short career.
She's has gotten into trouble for refusing to go through the metal detectors while threatening to carry a handgun to work. On top of that, she may have given a tour a few days prior to the Capitol Riot, AND defied the Capitol Police by tweeting out locations of several politicians, including Nancy Pelosi during the riot, which they (the politicians inside) were explicitly told not to do. That last part has been confirmed by other senators. People in her own state (Colorado), who originally supported her, are now regretting giving that support.
And Georgia Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene had her Twitter account suspended for 12 hours for posting a lot of the same absolute crap that Trump got banned for.
Also, I propose that instead of the GOP, we refer to the Republicans as the POK - Party Of Karens. Because that's exactly what they're acting like.

Trump is lifting some COVID-19 travel restrictions right before leaving office. It's crazy to suggest, but then we are talkin' crazy with anything Trump, but is this a plan to put even more of a spike in COVID-19 cases during the beginning of Biden's term? Is it to make it easier for him or his cronies to travel abroad? I mean, what's the logic here, and why at this particular time?
Anyway, Biden plans to block it.
Less than two more days.... Less than two more days.... Just gotta keep thinking about that!
