Don't ask me why, but as I was getting ready this morning, I was thinking about the exchange between Banshee and Cyclops in the Savage Land, right after Wolverine summoned a Fastball Special from Colossus to slash a Pteradacytl (or a Pteranodon?) in order to save Banshee. Cyclops berated him for acting brashly, and Wolverine defended himself, with Banshee chiming in "don't complain about the way he saved me life". I thought that was a neat little Claremont bit.

So then I was thinking more about the Cyclops/Wolverine relationship, and I thought about the page in ELSEWHEN where Wolverine takes a bullet to save Cyclops. Cyclops is surprised he did this, and Wolverine says "yeah well, you tell anyone, and I'll kill you myself!" Which I thought was another great bit. But then it hit me - I own that page!!! I was just serendipity that that was one of the few Wolverine in brown costume pages available from Jim when I bought it 2 years ago. I think I forgot because I still haven't gotten around to framing it yet (I know, shame on me). It was a real shame that that dialogue was not actually on the page, because that was what drew me to it to begin with.

Another example was second hand. JB had mentioned that he "cast" Jennifer Aniston for Lorna Dane in XM:THY. I commented that I could see it, because on the page where Lorna first appears duing the Adams run, she looked just like her IMO. To which he replied that he actually owned that page. Given that that exchange was over 25 (!!!) years ago, I don't know if he still does.
