…and make Artemis into a likeable character.

Pitched an Artemis series a few years back, but was
told there was one "already in the works".

Still waiting

Wow! Too bad for them...I would have loved that!

I always thought it was inspired that you took the character that was meant
as a throwaway, Wonder Woman replacement, and made me (and others
hopefully) care about her. She became part of a great suporting cast on your
Wonder Woman run.

My reaction to JB's WONDER WOMAN run is odd:  it's probably my least favorite JB run on any title, and yet I think it's the WONDER WOMAN run.  So JB has had some incredibly great runs and WONDER WOMAN is usually a sadly mediocre book.

I enjoyed the reintroduction of the Golden Age Wonder Woman, although it's a shame it couldn't have been Diana.  Having Wonder Woman be a rookie hero was a huge mistake during the Perez run; there's something very wrong in the DCU when Wonder Girl/Donna Troy is more experienced and established than Wonder Woman.

I was less fond of the Donna Troy arc during JB's time on WONDER WOMAN.  Not that it was a bad story, but I find it incredulous how much effort is spent trying to justify and explain the existence of a second tier, derivative character.  I haven't followed Donna Troy's history since, but I would be very surprised if subsquent writers havent' continued to monkey with her history.
