I wish somebody would color these. Then I could use the color printer at work and have my own gallery of prints. Is there a rule against it? Would my desire be considered infringement or stealing? I honestly don't know, and if told I was doing wrong, I'd not do it. I haven'ty yet, and won't if the practice is frowned upon. So, somebody with gravitas in this area, please advise. If legally, or more importantly, morally wrong, let me know and I'll respect that finding. Thanks.

Videotapes now carry a warning against infringement of copyright, including infringement without monetary gain. I wonder if what you propose would cross that line? No concern to me, of course, as my work is a one-off and therefore within the accepted tradtions ----- but modern technology makes everything so messy, doesn't it?

Isn't the intent of JB's commissions to be viewed in black and white? I ask because of part of me thinks that coloring them would be akin to colorization of a black-and-white movie.

Yes, it does. And that was the "red flag" that caused me to ask the question. More often than I'd like, "easier" equates with wrong.
You mention "one off", and that too was a consideration. Is what I described the same as posting a newspaper clipping on the wall, or closer to ripping off a print from the museum gift shop?
Without mindreading, I think your comment suggests that I was right to ask first. I also take it that the practice would be frowned upon. I intend to honor that train of thought. Thanks for the commentary.

I really missed these guys. I think they could do pretty well as "the other super-team" located a continent away from the New York teams and setting out on some odd adventures that could be overlooked by the East Coast capes. However, I wouldn't want them to be handled by today's Marvel because of the way current storytelling practices have been going.
Nice to see an updated rendition of that final fight against the Sentinels from #17, JB.

17 years! I didn't read any of The Champions until their final couple of issues, but I still think the group had a lot of untapped potential. I would love to peek into the alternate universe where they hung around a few years longer.
