Hawkeye (thought balloon): "Well, that was fun.  I was in charge again for about half a second there."

I was hoping that page would get scanned.  That's my favorite characterization moment from the WCA run.  Hawkeye's a lot like early Wolverine in that he was the guy who "knew" he had all the better ideas.  But now here he is in charge and it's not going at all like he thought it would.

But redemption is coming...

I really like the shot of Mockingbird playing with her hair while talking with Wanda.  A subtle thing that conveys a sense of personality.

I don't know why, but Mockingbird's look is immensely sexy to me. I can't figure out what it is, but she has a lot of sensual character. Definitely a JB favorite of mine, as in presentation.

I agree.  I think it's the fact that she's not drawing attention to the fact that she's hot.  She just is.

Here we are on page two and nobody has commented on JB's pun that Wanda had to go to Helen Bach (hell and back) to get a good governess for the boys?  We're slipping.

Oh, and yeah, the last page is killer!

Yes, I confess to being a genius. Modestly, of
course.

Helen Bach

**********

That's a funny pun. There's a BBQ joint in Delaware called Helen Whaite's. "Want good BBQ? Go to Helen Whaite!"

Love the dialogue between Hawkeye and Wasp about who is in charge.

It reminds me of a sports story I read about Larry Bird in his heyday. There were a few seconds left in a close game and the Celtics were down by a point and they had one last shot to win the game.

During the time out, Coach K.C. Jones started to draw up a play. Bird said, "Screw that - just give me the ball and get out of my way!"

Jones looked over at Bird and said, "Larry, I'm in charge here; I decide what we do."

Jones then looked at the rest of the team. "So here's what we're gonna do - give the ball to Larry and get out of his way!"

John Byrne, was the babysitter's comments on Wanda marrying the Vision being "like someone marrying a blender" your opinion on the subject? It just seemed like you weren't too crazy about Wanda and Vision having a family, destroying their marriage by making the Vision lose his ability to have emotions, and revealing that the children never really existed.

Also, the whole "twins being fragments of Mephisto" is being retconned in Young Avengers right now, with the characters Wiccan (William "Billy" Kaplan) and Speed (Thomas "Tommy" Shepherd) discovering that they may be the twins' reincarnated souls.
