This is a wonderful piece.

I'll bet the Bat-signal is going to interrupt dinner sooner or later, though.

I am so tempted to rip off that earlier idea and spring for a Sinister Six Summer BBQ. Kraven brought the meat, Doc Ock's grilling, Sandman's the Beach, Electro's powering the gear, Mysterio's conjured some ladies, Vulture's swooping around on lookout duty...

Wellllll… see, this Batman/Spider-Man piece works, because there really were times in their publishing careers when we can imagine the characters engaged in just such an activity as we see in this commission. But -- a villains barbecue? I can't imagine that ever happening.

I missed this one before.  That is so wonderful and FUN!  I've wondered before why more people don't commission cross-company characters.  Maybe I will when I finally decide on the one that I want...

I can dig it. They're probably a lot more apt to be meeting up in a seedy
bar, or at the most domestic- planning a heist with a ton of pizzas being
dropped off by the world's bravest delivery guy.

I just adore me some Spider-Villains. The ones who actually did things
like rob banks, instead of simply plotting revenge attempts.

The "villains version" of this piece would probably be a reverse angle, from below, showing the side of the building swarming with bad guys on their way up to crash the party.

It would be interesting to go the full route and see a JB "day off" commision perhaps the X-Men, Avengers & F4 having a cook out or a day at the beach all in street clothes. (or swimwear if it's at the beach)

What a cool unexpected commission. I was completely impressed then and I still am, I thought it might be a fun one to bump it, for those who haven’t seen it in a while... John you make comics fun!
