Just pencil, right? If this is the style you are using on the (Angel?) mini, it's gonna be frikkin' incredible. A total departure from your normal work, yet still a john Byrne piece. Awesome.

Very cool, and different.

JB - I know this came up recently, but I forget the answer: is this the first time you've done an illustration specifically to be made into a tattoo?

To both Brian and Andrew the answer is yes -- tho a few years back I did a
doodle helping a friend of Mike Carlin's work out how a tatoo design would
look.

I'm sure JB would be a great tattoo artist.

And you still feel you don't do good likenesses, Chief?

That is a great McQueen!

I have a new desktop now. If only he had no skin on his face and it was on fire.

If we signed a contract saying we wouldn't allow a piece to be inked, would you consider a pencil commission?

I agree with Robert about how the pencils only give it a Colan vibe.  I really enjoy the non-hero aspect too.  Here's looking foward to the ducks.

And commission or no I'm glad to see it.  Heck, I'd love to see anything you've done.  Here's for a Byrne Doodles Thread!

Ari,

Didn't JB already do a pencil commission for you?

••

Virtually impossible to enforce.

As I have already observed, I just know that when the ANGEL pages
start to go on the market, Terry Austin and Joe Rubenstein (among others)
will be getting calls.
