Hi Heroes!

How is John Byrne's NEXT MEN: THE PREMIERE COLLECTION different
from the previous trades or the recent COMPLETE VOLUMES?

Caleb, the Premiere Collection is hardback and in color. It collects issues 0-10 and is oversized. Also included is a new forward by JB.

I really recommend Assignment: Earth to those that didn't pick up the individual issues. REALLY good stuff.

JB, question about the Premiere edition of NEXT MEN.  Amazon lists it as containing #0-10.  Will 2112 be reprinted in this collection at some point?  Be nice to see it in oversized form as well.

"Assignment Earth" is tops for me - pick this up if you can. It's such a
cool idea to develop a series based on the stealth pilot that appeared in
Star Trek that I was worried it couldn't possibly live up to my high
expectations. And yet it exceeded my hopes in every category.

If you buy this trade, you get twice as much Richard Nixon than you
would by seeing "Watchmen". To get two Nixons in your local theater,
you would have to buy tickets for both "Watchmen" and "Frost/Nixon".
Here, both Nixons are conveniently in one place.

I agree about Assignment Earth. You don't need to know anything about Star Trek to enjoy it - you just have to like heroic science fiction. Fans of JB's work on, say, Fantastic Four or Doom Patrol will have no trouble at all getting into these excellent stories.

Again, I must lament that both comic shops and the Borders Books in my city just don't carry product by Mr. Byrne.

I suppose internet shopping is in my near future.  It's too bad really, since I would much rather hold and peruse the books before I buy them.

Oh, well...

Hey, since this page hasn't been updated I was wondering what John planned to do after he's done with both his CREW & ANGEL mini series scheduled to end this summer.
