producing 4 or 5 issue "clumps" of different concepts ++++
If I may be so bold as to make a suggestion: JB, give some thought to the OGN format! I think it´d suit well both your prolific talent and the voracious apetite of your fan base.

A well deserved and overdue vacation. 1988?! It sounds like July will be a fun month.

I'm thrilled about the 5 issue mini-series idea. That's the way to go for me. No more never ending and repetitive storylines. The medium seems to me to have outgrown endless serialization in the US. The limited number of possible stories simply has to be done again all the time in an "updated", grittier/thrashier way to top the one that came before. People dying and returning, turning evil etc. With these arcs, you would be able to tell a real self-contained story and escape the aging fomula. I wonder how this pattern has lasted so long in the US and almsot never existed here in Europe -the medium has almost exclusively favoured 44 pages self-contained stories, be it within a continuing series. And anyway, you do deserve a holiday.

The aging fan base is the problem -- new readers would not feel the "endless serialization".

I look forward to the next four issues of Trio. Then I hope you enjoy your vacation time, geez you've earned it. But I'm so glad about the commissions, I can breath again. Wheew I was thinking, "missed it by that much". Have a great summer break.
