This new arrangement with IDW is fantastic news, JB.  Over the years I have tried titles I had no interest in because you moved to a book, so I trust your instincts and am very much looking forward to seeing what you plan to do.

I'm especially glad to hear COLD WAR is on the front burner!  "The Damocles Contract" was excellent and I really want to see more.

Those who haven't read COLD WAR, check out "The Damocles Contract" trade collection.  IDW did a wonderful job putting it together.  Check out Amazon to buy this for about ten bucks.

Yes, it will be good to shake "The Seven Cardinals Contract" out of my brain. And hopefully "The Little Princess Contract", too!

But that "other series" I mentioned so cryptically is what's on the FRONT burner, after TRIO.

All we can hope is that "series of miniseries" will somehow shake the less brilliant retailers of their habit of automatically slashing orders on the second and third issues.

(I heard Diamond even provides an app. to do that for them! SURELY that can't be true, can it???)

JB, glad you are having a break but the way more important news for me a fan is it seems not only have you found a great home in IDW but they genuinely realise that you deserve to be treated with respect as they trust you will turn out regular quality 'product' for want of a better word!

As of COLD WAR I am buying your comics in trade form only (don't worry, it's not just you, I don't buy any in comic form anymore) so it's nice to know that that won't affect your standing in IDW's eyes.

PS. Does Chris Ryall read this site? If he does, I just want to say "thank you"!

Any plans to bringing back Torch of Liberty or Danger Unlimited at some point?

Have you ever considered doing an anthology book of just your stories like DHP?

•••

Which, I hope you realize, with already marginal sales such as are to be found at a small independent like IDW, is exactly the kind of thinking that could drop those sales past the recovery point.

Not that I've ever seen or heard about.

Take as much time off as you need, JB. You deserve it! However, I'm with Bill. I give you two weeks before you are itching to create some new comic book. ;)

Perhaps you should consider an ongoing series of single issue one shots, that come out monthly, each a first issue!
