Nice one Peter.

Trying to re-start my own art-engine in the New Year with a quick compositional sketch.

Nice ones Joe.  You inspired me this morning to have a go at Spidey, hope that's alright.

Here the wall-crawler taking a nap with my usual excessive shading and sloppy lines plus some half-baked faux-perspective thrown in for free. :P

I thought it photographed too dark so I tried some contrast "enhancement" (i.e. digital painting) too, but don't generally go for that modern-day colorist look.  Oy! Someday I'll have the time and patience (and skill) to be able to draw some clean lines.

And one last time using the GIMP's automatic desaturation algorithm for contrast enhancement.

This last one screams "Someone ink me, and make me feel pretty!"

I was looking for something else today and came across this in a folder instead:

It's from late 1993 or early 1994... and a shameless swipe from the late, great Tim Sale.

Very, very nice work, Steven and Peter! I can see Tim Sale in that piece for sure.
Steven there is a softness to your artwork which works well.

Thanks Paul.  It's the dull pencil. :)

Excellent Batman Peter!
