Hello, hello.
I'm new at this forum. For many years I thought that Mr. Byrne were totally out of the virtual world. But a member of a fan page on Facebook warned me of the Robotics, and here I am. I' like to share here 03 tattoos I did based on Mr. Byrne's art. I spent some time reading other old posts about the subject and understand the position of mr. Byrne on the subject. As a tattoo artist myself, I share the feeling about permissions over previous artwork being used to do tattoos. I understand completely. But I'd like to do a simple question: How to solve this?
Mr.Byrne, one of the reasons I entered this forum was to show you this pieces, done by me, and to tell you this: when I was a kid, in the early eighties, your work did a huge impact on me. When I first saw tyour "Iron Fist", I knew how I'd like to draw my characther. And then come Spiderman, the X-Men and, most important of all, "Alpha Flight". Why Alpha Flight? I explain: there's a page where Vindix (sorry, I forgot the name of the character) was talking on the phone. Her right hand was holding the phone on the left ear and he was looking at his watch at the same time! All fluid, all natural, all... human. As a drawer, I quicklçy learn that the world was NOT only made of splash pages and super-heroistic poses. You, mr. Byrne, thaught me that. Thank you.
I hope that my píeces have honored your work. Thank you once more.
