I do believe that is the most violent coloring book I have ever seen.

I just noticed a simple detail from the SPACEPORT page that has me
shaking my head in admiration.

That Byrne fella is good.

Is Wallace playing a game of "How to Keep an Idiot in Suspense"?

Okay -- I'll ask! What's the detail??

Ha!

You probably won't think it's a big deal, JB.

I was referring to the way Ellie is stopped and leaning to the side in the same
way a person actually riding a bike often is.
That small detail makes the
whole page more "real" to me.

Colored pencil.
I think I'm going to play with 262's colors in other pictures.
Hard to follow Peter's work and seeing Ogrady's but these have been vert therapeutic!

p.s. I've learned that neon orange does not scan well, the strip of hair on Eliza did not turn out.

Another great page, Doug.

This page was a bit of a killer (and the next one is even harder!!).

Peter, this may be your best one yet!

I just realized that we are looking at the neck (and underneath the chin) of one
of the natives up top.

The tricky ALLIES page is still a work in progress so I skipped on and finished HOMECOMING.

It was basically all finished, but then I made a couple of ill-advised final touches, one of which was a shadow line on the robot that immediately didn't look right. When I went back and checked in an earlier picture of 262, I realised I'd misinterpreted what I was looking at and I'd done messed up. No control Z though!
