I wonder what brought Kirby to design the Sentinels as he did with two shades of purple. A great design that still stands up; hard to find a cover with them on it that isn't exciting for example. It's like the classic red and gold Iron Man... I saw a green and white Iron Man in an old British comic and it was sooo wrong. Why are the Daleks grey? So they never get blue?
And the BAD news is, that power outage last night seems to have actually KILLED my modem. Several attempts to get online have failed. (I’m on my iPhone now.)
The OTHER bad news is that a technician will not be available until Saturday morning. So the earliest I will be able to post new pages is…sometime after that.
Sorry! Your JBF bill will reflect the loss of service.
Sorry to hear about this-- we've had some really hellacious storms here in northern Virginia lately, knocked out our power for a bit and the cable a bit longer. Might be your cable modem took a jolt during a surge from a nearby lightning strike or similar. Not even the best surge protector can defend against things like that.
Lightning can do weird stuff. I was visiting my aunt and uncle in Colorado when a strike just outside turned on their TV.
Hafta say, it was a heckuva storm! I actually pulled up a chair in front of the floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom and sat watching the show. Sheet lightning filling up the whole sky!
We got the same storm over in the Hudson Valley. I half expected Cooger and Dark's Pandemonium Shadow Show to be encamped at the Masonic fairgrounds at the foot of my street this morning.

Welcome to the Future.

There's nothing like nature's own fireworks--but as you say, we can only expect more of this (and worse) in years to come. I'm not optimistic about my daughter's situation (she's 12), much less future generations.
One small "consolation prize" to us is, we have an eastern exposure from our balcony, so when big storms blow over during the day, we often get bright double rainbows afterward.
Given the events of the last issue of ELSEWHEN, maybe the lightning storm can be chalked up to JB's mutant power of predicting events in comics that eventually happen in real life! It certainly sounded like Thor was having a fun romp around 2am in mid-Michigan this morning.
