Being UK-based I usually see each new page around lunchtime. I'm now in China for six weeks (Winter Olympics and Paralympics) so it'll now be an evening treat for me. I find Elsewhen to be a bit like chinese food - after having some you want more soon afterwards!
No new page until next week as announced of course. Gives me pause to express thanks to JB for sharing this extraordinary project and adding to the "dent" he has made in the comic universe. Be well!
Just wanted to say thank you to you Mr. Byrne for doing all these X-Men pages and creating a great story to read. Its fun to see the team back to where they are supposed to be and not in some really wacky convolution that requires 20 books to figure out what's going on. I'm also incredibly happy to see you drawing my all time favorite team of all time and all time favorite bad arse villain again too. When you draw the Fantastic Four and Dr. Doom you bring quite the smile to my face.

Hi William! Welcome to the board, I have to say your first post is right on the mark, we’ve been riding a wave of Byrne goodness for a long time it’s been a dream come true!
I admire your ability to fly without a net, but I suppose a few decades of honing your craft allows you to feel comfortable in doing that.

In the early Eighties I began approaching the the work with “start on page one and hope I run out of story by page twenty two” (or however many pages an issue had).
This could be occasionally nerve racking, but it allowed for a degree of spontaneity denied by tight plotting. (It was amusing, from time to time, ehen someone would refer to a particular plot turn as “predictable”, when it was something I hadn’t known myself was coming until I drew it!)
For the most part, on monthly series, the approach has served me quite well.
