H. L. Menken said (sorta) “Nobody ever went broke underestimating the the intelligence of the American people.” And he lived long before the internet.

If Trump wants to show how out of control FBI is, he just needs to release the search warrant. He has a copy and it names the specific crime and the basis for probable cause.

Just remember, the only reason we're in this mess is that Trump has always been shameless about (seemingly) catering to the rabid mob's legitimate concerns that have gone ignored for generations by other politicians. They are desperate and he appeared to be throwing them a bone no one else would.    < id="protanopia"> < id="deuteranopia"> < id="tritanopia">

So the "big bad" FBI raided the Flori-DUH home of the widdle ol' Orange doG because he has in his possession classified documents that did not belong to him and  now he's complaining that they, the FBI, are out of control?

Brianna Taylor and her family wish they had that problem when the cops came raiding and shooting up her apartment......

PS - Yes, I know that the FBI and Louisville cops are separate entities.

Besides the Presidential Records Act, which Charles mentioned, Trump may have also violated the Espionage Act of 1917. If anyone thinks that's long outdated, its how they nailed Edward Snowden.

I'm starting to suspect this Trump fellow may not be entirely on the up and up.

JMS has an interesting theory/speculation without anything to back it up.

The surprise nature of this being due to something found on Alex Jones
phone indicating that something might be @ the complex that might be
destroyed such as documents or a burner phone.

Pure speculation, but sounds plausible

I've noticed "Take America Back" seems to have become a rallying cry for at least some Trump supporters, in anticipation of him running in 2024.

This speaks to a deep and severe divide in the American people, the same kind of thinking that led to the Civil War.

Trump may have broken some laws taking the
top secret documents out of the WH, some
people involved in national security,
don't think he will get prosecuted
especially if all the files are recovered.
There wouldn't be much of a point.

it's highly unlikely any single "smoking gun" will turn up in criminal investigations of Trump's activities. But as with most criminal probes, it is an accumulation of evidence that makes the case.

An inconvenient truth that most Republicans don't like to acknowledge:
"Make America Great Again" and "Take America Back" were both used prominantly during Reagan's various campaigns.
