FF was a book where Kirby’s cosmic weirdness style of writing probably could have worked well.

Here two comics I'm not sure I ever saw!

FANTASTIC FOUR ANNUAL #11 penciled by Jack Kirby and inked by Joe Sinnott
Fantastic Four vs. the Invaders!  With an interior story by Roy Thomas (of course) and John Buscema!  Buscema on the Invaders!  Who knew?

MARVEL TWO-IN-ONE ANNUAL #1 penciled by Jack Kirby and inked by Joe Sinnott
This second half of Roy Thomas' story was penciled by SAL Buscema!  (Both parts inked by Sam Grainger.)  Hmm...I can't actually remember the Buscema brothers penciling different parts of the same story before!

Nice to see Kirby's Patriot, Miss America, and Red Raven again!  That's an unusual pose for a Kirby Thing (laid out by someone else?), but it all looks great!

That FANTASTIC FOUR Annual is the spark that lit the fire for that 10 y/o kid to start purchasing comics monthly.

When my older brother brought that book home, I could not put it down.

The FF
The Invaders
Baron Zemo
Nazis
World War II
The Watcher

Plus, I never knew that there was an original Human Torch .
