I see Frank Miller has created a poster in support of the strike. Unfortunately, due to a bad juxtaposition of art overlapping text, the demand appears to be for talent to get a FAIR SHARF.

Talent deserves that, too!

That’s it, right?  A waiting game.  The AMPTP hasn’t sat down with the WGA since the beginning of May and it’s been two weeks since they’ve talked to SAG-AFTRA. Their position is clear:  scorched earth.  Starve the unions until (as a recent Daily Beast article implied Link) people are losing their homes.

And then they expect those same people to return to them in good faith?  Seriously?

A note: I merged two threads about the two strikes (one on this board and the other on TV) into one since it seems discussion is overlapping.  I’ve also changed the thread title to reflect both strikes in Hollywood.

Hmm. Here's hoping that "AI CAN'T STRIKE!" doesn't horribly backfire....

Better yet, let's hope it doesn't strike... back.

Actors Donate Million$

A worthy deed, but once again proving to Jack and Jill Public that everyone in Show Business is rich, so this whole strike is pointless.

But it’s the 1% donating to a fund that helps the 80% who are really struggling right now. Every article states that fairly clearly.  Perception is also why you don’t see pictures of multi-millionaires on the picket lines.  They’re doing their job behind the scenes and by opening their pocketbooks.

If Jack and Jill Public only read the headline and come to a mistaken conclusion that all actors are rich? Oh well.  Even a casual reading of the situation should disabuse them of that notion, but if they can’t take three minutes to actually read it, then the blame falls squarely on them.
