I didn't know how to edit out Oregon. :)
If Michigan really is in play, then... ouch! :(

By your own logic, that's not up front, that's an end-of-play Hail Mary.

Should have written "seems", but by that statement alone I'm guilty of off-brand opinions in another person's home. Message received. Everyone deserves a comfortable place to vent their politics without push-back, so I'll lower the Cone of Silence and just stick to posts about JB's storytelling.

A nearly unfiltered Obama is fun to listen to.

Michigan has a large Muslim and Arab-American population and the Biden administration's support for Israel in the current Gaza conflict has led to a large-scale impact of the vote - they, along with young and progressive voters, voted 'uncommitted' as a protest bloc in the primary to the tune of 100,000 votes, or roughly a seventh of the votes cast (if I'm reading it correctly). Given Harris hasn't indicated she's going to change the current policy in any way, the general election is also going to see that have some impact.
I haven't looked too deep into the data and I haven't seen any real discussion of the exact breakdown, but I'm assuming that (as with most states, particularly in the midwest), these demographics live in the more densely populated areas, while the suburban and especially rural areas are largely white, Christian, and uniformly break for the GOP. So the risk in depressing the turnout is a notable and unknown factor.

Kamala back on top in Michigan by 0.1%. Oh, but now Trump's up in Pennsylvania by 0.1%.
The next President of the United States of America is going to be decided by fewer people than I went to high school with... ...?

Reminiscent of the (fictional) scene in 1776, where the ratification of the Declaration of Independence comes down to the vote of one delegate.

It has been fascinating watching the far left align itself with the Republican Party. Seattle's star socialist, Kshama Sawant, is campaigning in Michigan, supposedly for Jill Stein, but explicitly stating her goal is to take votes from Harris and engineer Trump's restoration. Today on Twitter some leftists have resurrected circa 2020 GOP taunts about Jill Biden's doctor title, and now I'm looking forward to hearing the socialist case against Obama's tan suit and why that means Trump is still president.

Why though? What would the dangerous idiot bring to the table that they would benefit from? The Biden Admin has been staunchly pro-Israel and so, I would presume, the fucking narcissist’s second term. To not vote in this election (or worse, vote for Jill Stein) is a fool’s errand. No matter what anyone believes, that “uncommitted” vote to signify dissatisfaction or opposition is, in actuality, a vote for Trump. I get the intent behind the cause, but not the future ramifications. Those are much more dire and not just for the United States. The world.
On a much smaller scale, Susan Sarandon turned her not slight presence in 2016 from Sanders supporter, to upset Hillary got the nomination, to all but endorsing Trump to send a message. Guess where that got us?
I have largely stayed out of discussion here and elsewhere about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict because it’s so hot-button and I have no point of reference, but on this (less than a month out), I can’t be loud enough.
