It's being reported that comic book artist John Cassaday has passed away at 52 years old, no cause has been given.

I LOVED Ellis and Cassaday's "Planetary" book. I only met him once but was thrilled to talk to him about that book, especially since at the time he was mostly signing #1 of his "Astonishing X-Men" run.

Stunned at the loss of such a phenomenal artist…52 is just way too young to go. Condolences to his family, his  friends, and fans.
