In the days when the Marvel calendars listed talent birthdays, a running gag became placing Ralph Macchio’s the day after Stan’s with the notation “He was born yesterday.”One year Roger Stern suggested Ralph be given the actual day with an “Also Stan Lee” note. Roger’s idea was that this would be followed by a picture of Stan crying “Hey, wait a minute!” No one had the courage to mention this to Stan, but I think he would have enjoyed the joke.
