Although it’s been done, many time, many ways, Marvel should publish an attendant collection of JB’s Uncanny X-men run to complement the Elsewhen editions.  Are there any plans to do so?  I would be interested.  Thoughts?

I have not heard of anything from Marvel, but I am surprised that it hasn't already been done.  There are omnibus editions containing JB's Uncanny X-Men run (Uncanny X-Men Omnibus Vol. 1 & 2) but not a Byrne-specific Uncanny X-Men Omnibus.  I was expecting Marvel to do a John Byrne X-Men Omnibus that would contain Uncanny X-Men and Hidden Years. It would have been a pretty big volume but no bigger than other omnibus volumes Marvel has released.  Marvel instead issued Hidden Years by itself as an omnibus.  Since Uncanny X-Men is really the only major Byrne-drawn work that hasn't yet been released in a Byrne-specific omnibus, I think chances are good that it will happen, especially with the release(s) of Elsewhen.
