Hi JB,

Below are some of the last full issues and covers Jack Kirby produced for Marvel in the 1970s. There’s an obvious change from Jack’s regular cover inkers. Was there a story on how you got that cover inking gig?

MACHINE MAN #8 - Inks by Bob Wiacek (Nov. 1978)

MACHINE MAN #9 - Inks by Bob Layton (Dec. 1978)

DEVIL DINOSAUR #8 - Inks by Walt Simonson (Nov. 1978)

DEVIL DINOSAUR #9 - Inks by John Byrne (Dec. 1978)

Basically it came down to each of us wanting a shot at inking Kirby while he was still at Marvel.
