In June of 1986 I had just graduated college, but was staying in town for the summer to finish up some course work. I'd heard something about SUPERMAN being rebooted on TV, so I picked the 1st issue up -- both the newsstand cover and the "collector's" cover.
The guy at the checkout said, "You know these are the same comic, right?"
I know you're not in love with your experience on SUPERMAN -- I've even heard you regret taking the job -- but I want to say that it brought you to me. I discovered you because of MAN OF STEEL and I wouldn't have otherwise.
I've followed you ever since and you've given me uncountable hours of joy and entertainment. Forty Years of it!
