Found someone complaining online that I was “rude” to him at Comic Con in 2015.

Only I don’t think I was there that year.

I’ve tried to find an appropriate guest list, but no luck.

Anyone care to check my memory?

From what I can find, you were inducted into the Eisner Hall of Fame, but did not appear at the convention.

Also there's an official schedule webpage for the event. Claremont shows up as part of 'That 70s Panel' on Saturday 11 July 2015, along with Bob Layton and Mark Evanier.

If you search the whole event schedule for 'Byrne' , there is no John Byrne.
