Can I just say, judging from my posted image, you mean to tell me that "Only one way to save myself from those deadly lightning bolts...outrun them!" doesn't make you get excited and want to read that story???

Well, the one of the right certainly looks frustrated, that's for sure.

The one on the left looks like he's having a ball.

I guess being able to run really really fast and hit villains a thousand times before they can zip up, run on water and float using little mini-tornados, all that stuff is a pure dee bummer for the guy on the right.

Heck, not only can I tell who's running faster, I can tell in the left one that the two racers are actually racing.

The one on the right, it looks like Superman and the Flash are doing the Hustle together on disco night.

Hmm. And how about that?  Now we know where DC Comics got the idea to make Batman and Superman enemies!

Too many pictures look simply like they're striking a pose for the camera. And in many books, in every panel, it seems there's an aeffort for each to be the absolute best depiction of the character. By that I mean, they all look like miniature cover shots. It's like no one can draw a panel that actually expresses the storyline, moves the action along. Heaven forbid there's a partial of the lead, he has to be fully visible and striking the most awesome pose possible, every single panel. End result awesomeest panels ever (everytime) = boring repetition. How can you have that WOW!!! splash, if it's like all the other panels, just a little bigger.

Those energy whatevers around Flash are nothing more than static, all pun intended. Infantino used to use the bolts on the costume occasionally to streak behind Flash, I thought that was sooo cool AND implied the velocity and movement briliantly, but I guess they just don't look "real" enough, in a fantasy medium? I don't get it.

For everybody who keeps going on about how Barry isn't a good character. And Cooke also draws the hell out of some Flash. That's the way to show a character moving, jack!
