Paul, I am stunned you can execute that precisely with microns and brush pens. Seriously! I thought for sure you'd say either nibs or digital.
Thanks again for the unexpected gift.

I hear you Joe! I call it being pig-headed. :)
Here's a reference I just found for the planes of the face:

Finished my assignment! :P
(To be honest, I cheated. I kept looking at the answer in the top-right corner. Truly, drawing from imagination is the real gold standard, but first: many, many baby steps...)

Definitely improved. I don't know about you Joe, but whenever I attempt a figure drawing from an unusual perspective...the darn thing constantly fights me to straighten right back up. Drives me nuts!

Next up in ACTION 591 was the Legion and Saturn Girl... I did this without reference, and only looked up a reference to see how I'd done. The first image I saw had a headline of "Does a Woman Sitting Cross-Legged Imply Arrogance?" What a world.... Take me away, Imra...Next up!One of my all-time favorite Byrne girls: BARDA! <3

That's a great on, SQ. Those little highlights make it so real, for me, at least.
Here's my Barda :) I love her look so much. I was studying Kirby's version so intently last night before attempting her...I felt like the uniform she wears is some kind of Egyptian style. It's unlike anything. She's been used well over the years, as in ACTION 592 & 593, and some JLI/JLA, but, I really fell head over heels with her in the MISTER MIRACLE series from 2018. Next up: SILVER BANSHEE! sweet!

Thank you Joe. Learning the face it like doing 1000 sit-ups right now for me. Just need to keep getting in some reps.
Barda is looking good. She is a visually interesting hero. JB also did a wonderful job with her. Did you hand-draw all those scales of her armor in? I would lack the patience.
