Somewhat belatedly, this 1932 illustration for WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE by Fortunino Matania. 13"x17"
Done for a European serialization, containing WWC and its sequel, AFTER WORLDS COLLIDE. This scene is actually from the sequel.

The Book Palace, in London, from whence I bought this piece, sent me a tracking email. It's already sitting in Norwalk, just a hop, skip and a jump away across the green hills of Connecticut. That was fast!!

Was curious so I looked up other original art of his. Surprisingly affordable. I might do some investigating.

Surprisingly affordable.•• Some, yes, such as the one I bought. Others. . . not so much! This piece, from 1929, which I would dearly love to have...
...is only 8x13 inches but is priced at £6,500!

I’m rereading AFTER WORLDS COLLIDE, and just reached the scene from which my purchase was taken. A satisfied smile!
