According to a post on FB from his daughter, Don Perlin has passed away at 94 years of age.
"I am devastated to report the death of an amazing man. My father Don Perlin passed away peacefully yesterday at the age of 94. He ws an amazing father husband grandfather and great grandfather. We will all miss him terribly. He was an amazing artist and considered a legend in the comic world. To me he was my best friend. I will miss him so much"

Such fond memories of his artwork on GHOST RIDER and DEFENDERS. Very sad to hear, but 94 is a good run!!

Saddened to hear of this. The word “underrated” is tossed around too much these days, but Don definitely was.

Sad news. :^(
I especially enjoyed his work where he (or he and his brother) also did the inking. I ran into some old Charlton stuff I'd never known about before and it was pretty cool too.

Sad.
I loved his Ghost Rider run, which seemed to operate apart from much of the Marvel Universe. He had a real 'old-school' style which I liked.

Sad news. One of the fondly remembered artists from my youth, especially Defenders.

Absolutely loved his Valiant work. When artists like him left, everything special about that line left with them.

I met him when I went to Valiant to do an interview-- he was a really nice guy. Very sad to hear of his passing. He gave the comics world a tremendous body of work.
