Well, be advised that the Caps lost in overtime last night so he may be in mourning. ;-)

I made initial contact with Jim Warden over the wkd, but haven't heard back from him after leaving a few phone messages. Lest my enthusiasm for a Byrne comission allow me to be seen as an overly zealous stalker, I will remind myself that it has only been 4 days and Jim most probably has a life and other life responsibilities. ;)

I will be responding to your e-mail this evening when I get home from work and my kids are in bed.  (This will be approx. 10:00pm eastern time.  )  I am sorry for the delay in getting back to you; as I mentioned on the DOA Updated thread, I attended the Capitals playoff game last night so I did not get a chance to respond to my e-mails.

For the record Fred, you left 2 (two) phone messages; this does not constitute "several" in my book.  Also, I deal with ANY AND ALL commission business via e-mail, not by phone... given that the commissions are something JB has to draw (versus a published page which folks can already see), it makes no sense for me to take the risk of any miscommunication via a "verbal" exchange.  (I require that we have things firmed up "in-writing" before I run a request by JB.)

I thank you for your patience and I will be in touch this evening.

Jim, make no mistake, there was no finger pointing intended. I used the words "a few", not "several", and actually intended to speak more towards my excitement about this deal than anything else. No reason for an apology in a delay since it has only been 4 days total *I wasn't aware of updated threads at the site or anything other than the art pages and contact info, but will be more attentive to them in the future.*

I was not aware of your practice of communicating via e-mail only and utilized the phone simply because your number and hours of contact requested were posted on your site. The only reason that I had attempted via phone as a follow-up was to avoid confusion and clarify since I had wanted to look at the possibility of a different cover than the one discussed in the initial reply to you. Again, I was posting about my glee and being aware of it not turning into harrassment towards you or expectations that my request was the only thing currently going on with you. Hope that this clarifies my viewpoint a little more and apologize for any misunderstanding that resulted from any of my actions.
