I agree, but when a similar situation happened with "Wolverine" in an issue where a slur word was used instead of another word, the reprinted issue was treated as the first printing by price guides and dealers, etc.

And, yes, Ted, I agree, hand this book to JB (in a biohazard container, with rubber gloves and tongs); he'd have to use his entire bag of tricks, but, by dog, he could fix it - it's certainly broken!

I'm sure I read somewhere, a while back, that Miller and Lee were planning to go into the 20's on the book, in terms of issue numbers.

Apparently the entire point of AS Batman is that it's a Frank Miller/Jim Lee
Batman book; so that makes sense.
Of course, we get into the singer/song issue...

You're right, but I was thinking more if Dark Knight was made today, it would have cussing..

Big fan DKR and Year One. My favorite Batman books well...ever. Did not really care for DK2 and thought it wasn't needed. All-Star Batman have been quite insane, and the ridiculous delays have been truly amateurish, From what they speak at that moebiusgraphics messageboard, Miller wanted the curse words to be lettered in and then blocked out. Anyway, a book that is this delayed...doesn't surprise me that it has mistakes like this in it.

Miller has achieved the status that many artist envy.
When his work is good, he gets deserved accolades.
When his work is sub-par, fans say it must have been intentional! It must have been satire or parody.
He can do no wrong!
(although it is worth pointing out that satire or parody (or even humor) doesn't imply writing that is of a llower quality... why do some fans think it does?)

Why does it have to be confusing? Put an "Adults Only" warning on the cover (if they must insist on the insane practice of putting out a Batman comic book that's "not aimed at kids").
There's nothing to distinguish this book from Detective Comics, in terms of content, on the cover - and in fact, the title and the cover artwork (for this issue at least) make ASBAR look like it's more kid-friendly than the average DC book.
I totally agreed with Miller's rant against advisory labels in the past - when I thought he was talking about his SIN CITY book! But this is Batman, the beloved children's character who has a new cartoon out this fall - that's a whole other ballgame.
