Was messing around with this a few weeks ago, but couldn't get Agnetha's face quite right, so upped pencil-sticks on it.

Peter, I realise this one didn't turn out as you wanted but it's pretty damn sweet. The facial expressions are fantastic and Bjorn is spot on. Your style reminds me very much of Brent Anderson.

Thank you for the kind words, Darren. Might get the rubber (eraser for our N American audience) out and have another crack at Agnetha. Or do it on another piece of paper and meld in Photoshop.
It's something of a curiosity that likenesses come out better for me when the reference material is B+W. I suppose it shouldn't be too much of a surprise, but colour photos make it somehow harder to translate over to the page in pencil.

(Benny and Frida reference was B+W, Bjorn and Agnetha were colour)

Speaking as someone who is no good at drawing likenesses I admire your sterling efforts! :)

As you can probably tell, this was drawn PDQ, but there's something liberating about drawing like that sometimes. The final thing is some way from satisfactory, but kinda like the deadline thing I had going on.

I couldn't tell you why, but that reminds of something I could have seen in Mad magazine.
