Forgive me if this is the wrong thread to ask in,but hoping the artists in the forum could answer. When looking at comic art for sale, what is an "artist proof"?
Is that considered original art?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Probably fits better in the New Art thread, but anyway:

I would take it to mean an early print that is made as a check before an actual print run and therefore not original art.

I haven't penciled anything in ages. I've been happy to ink other pencilers' work. But seeing all the really nice artwork here has me excited to start up again! I had to clean up my pencils quite a bit with the inks. Still much work to do but now I'm motivated.
*Edited to correct the previous goofy Hulk face
