Best wishes for your procedure JB!

As evidence of the indelible impression you've left on many of our childhoods: this thread immediately brought to mind the title and cover of FF 237, which I likely haven't laid eyes on in over 40 years.

Ah, Spinnerette! Perhaps not my most inspired creation!

Floaters are very annoying. I can only imagine what a hinderance it would be to have what you are describing. Hope whatever course of action the doctors recommend gives you a quick, effective and lasting improvement.

I’ve had a floater in my right eye for as long as I can remember. A trip to the
eye doctor about 5 years ago revealed a freckle on my eyeball. I’d never
heard of such but apparently that’s what it is.

When my floaters first started to appear I was quite frankly terrified. Their arrival was signaled by bright flashes all around the edged of my vision. I was convinced my retinas were detaching.

Bummer! They tell me that for the first couple of weeks after the surgery I won’t be able to scuba dive or wear eye makeup! :-(

It's the putting on eye make up WHILST scuba diving that is
most difficult

My dad (who is around your age) is in for his cataract operation a week today. He's having one eye done at a time. They've told him not to exert himself at all - no gardening or anything.
