Hello Mr. Byrne,

Thank you so much for continuing to engage with your fans and for all you do and have done to bring happiness to the comic book world via your amazing creativity and artistry.

A few quick questions, should you wish to answer them:

1. During your initial Marvel stint (70's and 80's), did you keep up on the entirety of the Marvel Universe through monthly comics? If so, I would love to hear any details you would be willing to share - for example, did you have a favorite title, did they arrive in a big box from Marvel, did it ever lead to ideas for collaboration with another book's creative team, etc..

2.  Do you keep up in any way with current comics? If so, do you have a favorite title that you would recommend?

Thank you!

Kevin

1) Marvel used to send me everything they put out. It was policy to send out "comps" like this to all freelancers. Eventually I asked them to stop, as I was developing piles of unread comics.

2)"Keep up" is too strong. I pay attention, but not nearly as much as I used to.

(Unrelated trivia. I've mentioned before that my hand-to-fingers coordination sometimes has trouble with the word "chair", and it comes out "cahir". Just now I had a reminder of another such quirk, as "much" sometimes comes out "mucvh".)
