There's no real problem with Joe Fixit, that's a return to the original Hulk, and close to the Avengers version.
*******
The original Hulk, as conceived by Stan & Jack, was about the Jekyll and Hyde of persona of Bruce Banner... mixed with the tragedy of Frankenstein's monster. Originally, the Hulk was shown as simple-minded and quick to anger*... referring to Banner as "puny Banner" - a separate identity. Banner suffering from dissociative identity disorder was established much later and then we were introduced to every colored Hulk imaginable.... just for kicks because the original concept had grown stale to some writers.

I'm a fan of the SAVAGE, Jekyll & Hyde Hulk... the one pursued by the army and was often times misunderstood.

-C!

*By Incredible Hulk #4, radiation treatments gave Banner's mind complete control of the Hulk's body for a short period of time.

I would say Captain America strong: the fully accomplished potential of a normal man.
Real Strenght, not body building to show off. Power, not visuals.

Charles: When i say that Joe Fixit is close to the original Hulk, i'm talking of the character and how he behave, not of what is in the "motor". I don't care about the pseudo-scientific explanation, or amateur psychoanalysis. It's just aditional stuff that brings depth, or the illusion of it, to an already robust structure.
It may be an interesting take on the character, but it is not the real core of the character, his essence.

From what I'd seen from Disney's She Hulk*, it's more Dan Slott than the bold interesting take from John Byrne.  There was always a care for the characters he illustrated on the pages to show there's a vastness in comics where cinema can not reach.  She-Hulk was one of my favorite heroines because of her struggle and obstacles of being a Hulk and later being something different.  I like different and in the show if Bruce has his intelligence than I feel Jen should be a rage monster until she earned a path to have control of the Hulk... like in the pages from The Savage She-Hulk.

Something I’ve made a rule over the span of my career is to not use the characters and stories for personal therapy. Don’t address my own issues and agendas unless they real do fit the characters.

For many writers I often get the feeling the exact opposite is the case. As with many male writers who just cannot deal with Jen as a strong, confident woman.*

Ok, here’s one. JB, you’ve included multiple sunbathing scenes for Jennifer
over the years. Would her green skin actually get darker as a result?

It might, but it would get down to the interaction with gamma rays.

I have the feeling that "smart Hulk" is (much like in the comics) a temporary thing. Hulk had flashes of temper when training Jen such that I could see him reverting to his bigger, more violent and less intelligent self.
So Jen would then be the "in-control Hulk" while Bruce is the rampaging monster of yore.
Or so we can hope.

We also haven't seen the Leader/Samuel Sterns return from his appearance in 2008's INCREDIBLE HULK, so there's that, too.
We will be seeing Tim Roth as Abomination, following up his cameo in SHANG-CHI.
Marvel appears to be slowly building out the gamma corner of the MCU. I'm glad about that but hope it's done well. We'll see soon enough.
