Given your repeated bashing of Singer's Superman John, why are you now working on his version of the mythos timed it seems to promote said flick?

*****

As of this morning, I am not. When Dan DiDio offered me the job, it was to be the first issue of a four part adaptation of the original Donner/Reeve movie. Apparently, it has morphed into something else entirely, so I have withdrawn from the project.

Barring unforeseen circumstances, I will be continuing on THE ATOM, however.

Regarding John's art on the Atom preview...

Ahem, thoughts to follow.

Squeeeeeee!

That is all.  ;-)

Gail

Ps. Ha ha ha, I've seen the art and you haven't, neener neener.

Well, the ATOM news is fantastic in my opinion. My favourite DC character, illustrated by my favourite artist, written by someone who is now (after her run on ACTION) rapidly becoming one of my favourite writers. Almost makes up for my disgust at DC removing Gail and John from ACTION after only a handful of issues. Almost!

And here I thought you were the robot in this partnership.

We're both robots and the book will be ghosted by aliens.

I am really looking forward to the Atom series by two great creators. The Atom has always been one of my favourite DC characters and I'm looking forward to seeing what you will be doing with him.

Sorry to hear about the Superman title.

Too bad to hear about the SUPERMAN project.  Anytime you're on the pencils with that character, JB, I'm on board to plop my money down.

But still delighted to see that the same team who did so well with ACTION will be tackling another.  Best of luck to you both.

Beats being alienated by ghosts.  Or... well, maybe not. :D  Hopefully the aliense will maintain the high standards from your last collaboration though.  And oh yeah, I'm overdue to pick up some Birds of Prey trades and check them out; I need to do something about that.

Since we are talking of the little guy, I have just sent JB's two issue Ant-Man run, together with other comics, to be bound in my continuing quest to compile a complete John Byrne Library.
