I like the teamups where the characters conflict, like the Spiderman/Wolverine teamup. One lighthearted and one bad sonofabitch. Nowadays, that can be hard to pull off, since everyone seem to be duplicates of eachothers. Cynical slackers with an edge.
I always wondered why DC, for example, always kill all the fun ones, replacing them with sad, dark depressed yahoos? They went on and killed basically every lighthearted character there is during this past year and I'm just curious to know if DC maybe lack any sense of humour whatsoever?
Sure looks that way.
(Another thing... Superman as a (sorta) bad guy, regardless of the context? Yeah.. right.. I buy that.)
(And another thing, how come that whenever Hollywood acually gets a character out there, reasonable accurate to boot, WHY the hell do publishers immidiatly change that character or kill that character, so that nobody driven by curiosity, possible after they have seen the movie or tv-show, could possibly recognize the character in question? Is it smart marketing? - I think not!)
