I like the teamups where the characters conflict, like the Spiderman/Wolverine teamup.
One lighthearted and one bad sonofabitch.
Nowadays, that can be hard to pull off, since everyone seem to be duplicates of eachothers.
Cynical slackers with an edge.

I always wondered why DC, for example, always kill all the fun ones, replacing them with sad, dark depressed yahoos?
They went on and killed basically every lighthearted character there is during this past year and I'm just curious to know if DC maybe lack any sense of humour whatsoever?

Sure looks that way.

(Another thing... Superman as a (sorta) bad guy, regardless of the context?
Yeah.. right.. I buy that.)

(And another thing, how come that whenever Hollywood acually gets a character out there, reasonable accurate to boot, WHY the hell do publishers immidiatly change that character or kill that character, so that nobody driven by curiosity, possible after they have seen the movie or tv-show, could possibly recognize the character in question?
Is it smart marketing?
  - I think not!)

****

Because "darkening" the characters is the bright, new, fresh idea in comics -- and has been for about 30 years now

I'll second that FF/Batman & Robin suggestion.

How about Hellboy/Demon?

Joker v. Punisher would be neat.

Nova and the New Teen Titans.

And of course anything with the Frightful Four...

I'm actually more intrigued by the idea of Batman vs. Doctor Doom than I am by the FF connection.  I wouldn't mind seeing a story with just Batman and Doom, really.  Or maybe add R'as Al Ghul and... Iron Man?  Could start as a business conflict between Bruce and Tony involving corporate espionage and theft, actually masking a conflict between Doom and R'as.  I was tempted to put Black Panther in place of Iron Man, but he'd probably look too similar to Batman when they're in costume next to each other.  Unfortunate since they're very different characters, but oh well.  One could also substitute Lex Luthor for R'as, just to mix things up a bit more.  Could be fun.

And yes, JSA/Invaders would kick butt.

I agree with you
Moreover my sister, a much more intelligent reader albeit an occasional peruser of comics, considers it to be her favourite comic.
An exquisite piece of work.

I'm still trying to imagine the mayhem of a Demon/Wolverine cross-over!  Those guys would just tear each other up!

I'd probably just go for my own personal favourites, whether interesting
or not, so:

Spider-man/Green Arrow

Doctor Doom/Joker - My all time DREAM team-up

FF/New Gods - followed by these two

X-Men/Superman

Reed Richards/Batman
