Elliot, playing along for a second, I think I might prefer to see the Demon and Spiderman. We've seen Peter try and help the likes of the Lizard before, so a -similar- scenario with Etrigan/Blood might be quite cool. Spidermans only real asset would be his much under played Spider sence. Of course I would imagine that the Demon would be waaay stronger, more invulnrable, faster, ruthless. That's before we get to his flames which, again with speculation, we can imagine would tear through Spidermans webbing with ease.

Oh yes much fun might be had there.

I like the idea of team ups between similar charachters but the similarities have to be more than superficial or obvious.

Not Batman/Black Panther or Cap

Batman & Iron Man

Not Thor & Captain Marvel

Thor & Martian Manhunter would be cool

Not Hulk & Superman

Atom (Ray) & Hulk (Bruce's mind) or Mr Fantastic

Human Torch and Superboy

Some of the more obvious choices are still good because there is more to it than just the obvious.

Daredevil & Dr Midnight is my dream team up. Not because they are both blind, but Doc is a doctor who lost his liscense, and DD is a disbarred lawyer. THAT is the hook for me.

Power Company and Alpha Flight would be kind of interesting to me too, for some reason.

Hey!! Post 125 !!!

Kurt Busiek would love to do an Iron Man/Batman book, I recall reading. I'd love to see it.

Maybe Green Lantern (Hal) and Captain Mar-Vell ("The Oan/Kree War"?).

Fantastic Four/Batman & Robin does sound like an interesting prospect.

Or how about Batman/Hulk? Has that been done before?

My choices:

Fantastic Four and Green Lantern.  The story would be set in space against an alien menace threatening one of the alien species the FF befriended, and Hal Jordan and Ben Grimm would have known one another as rival test pilots - Ben would have figured out GL's identity soon after meeting, but would keep it quiet out of respect.

Iron Man and the Atom (Ray Palmer).

Captain Marvel (Billy Batson) & Spider-Man.

Moon Knight and Zatanna.

The Vision and Martian Manhunter.

Batman and the Shroud.  Batman would attempt to take down the Shroud, since he known as a crimelord.  The Shroud, keeping his real motivation secret from Batman, would attempt to lead Batman unwittingly in taking down a major criminal conspiracy as Batman thinks he is foiling a plot of the Shroud.  The series would end with Batman, the rgeat detective, still ignorant about the Shroud, but knowing something strange was going on.

For years Joss Whedon has been saying he would love to do a Batman/Buffy crossover and can't believe the companies involved haven't made it happen.

Quote Mr Whedon: "I've been planning to write this match-up for years. I know EXACTLY how the fight would go. But I need someone to draw it first. (And a leeetle free time. And two rival companies to sign off on it.)

Honestly, I don't understand how there are people who HAVEN'T thought about this for years. They're called PRIORITIES, people...

And both characters have extensive, almost ridiculously large scoobyposses. This will not affect the outcome of the fight, it just means Willow can spend some time crushing on Oracle.

Good times...

Batman/Buffy would be a lot of fun. JB drawing it would be fun, too!

I've always wanted to see Thor take on Orion. Maybe the Flash and the Hulk? The fastest man alive and the strongest one there is? I'd like to see Batman fight Doc Doom. Superman and the Silver Surfer taking on some cosmic threat would be very fun. Maybe they could take on either Darkseid or Thanos or something.
