Quote Mr Whedon: "I've been planning to write this
match-up for years. I know EXACTLY how the fight
would go. But I need someone to draw it first.

FF/GL
Plus, isn't Qward in the 'negative universe'?  It could be inferred that Reed began his research on the negative zone after teaming up with GL to fight off those crazy Qwardians...or maybe they even took a trip there...

I love Bill's idea.

Or maybe a Superman/FF story involving both the Negative Zone and the Phantom Zone...

JB-

How about doing a splash page of Buffy vs Batman? Or together versus a horde of vampires?

Drop a copy in the mail to DC, Joss Whedon and whoever owns the Buffy franchise and cross your fingers.

Then let the original hit Jim Warden's website and some lucky fan gets to buy a nice piece, and maybe..

Just maybe...

You wind up with a cool project in the works!

If Buffy meets Batman, that would mean that Giles could meet Alfred. Wouldn't it be cool if they knew each other? Alfred's widen, and he says, "Ripper?!?"

I loved the Batman and Captain America graphic novel.  It's my favorite.   I wish I could see more team-ups with Batman and Cap written and drawn by JB, of course.

That Batman and Captain America book remains a comic I truly love.  I always hoped that it would encourage both Marvel and DC to allow JB to play more with that era, and perhaps repeat that crossover and do others.  But now an elite group of writers seem to decide what happened when in the past.

I surely hope that someone points this thread to Joss Whedon. A crossover like that would be quite a kick for the new upcoming Buffy comics and I would really, really, really enjoy seeing John drawing any Buffyverse characters. Heck, I would love him draw the Buffy conics series!

Batman/Buffy.... Wow!

Well, Serge, don't you think my 30 year career is
enough of an "audition"?

Besides, a book like this would have the dread
likenesses to deal with, and unless I'm tracing
photographs, I suck at those!

I tend to think that 30 years and a stellar resume would put you on the short list, JB.

I wouldn't mind a book where Buffy doesn't have to look like her TV version. I think these things rarely work OK. I mean, alright, let's not make her a brunette or 6 feet tall, but a Byrned Buffy would be just perfect. After all, JB co-created the character Buffy is supposed to be inspired of, right?
