 QUOTE:
JB...

Weeks ago, I saw something odd/wrong... I believe that was the only time... if I remember correctly... with the marvel/dc piece...

The Superman/Iron Giant... nothings wrong... it's my favorite of all your commissions to date... Just saying the Geeky coolness of Iron Giant having the "s" symbol too... absolutely nothing implied as wrong...

This piece of art has hit all the right cords with me... Loved the movie... Love your art and your run on Superman... perfect all around...

Gatsis, you post is amazing. Almost seems perfect. But now that i think about it... It's just...

It's just, something... i dont know.

It's the "..."'s. It'd probaby be perfect without them. Man, that'd be great! Yeah! That's what it is...!

;-P

Mig, your emulation needs more random capital letters. But hey, if I had the brass balls to second guess a guy who's 30+ years into a professional art career, I probably wouldn't care too much about using proper grammar either.

I think this is my favorite rendition of Superman ever. No joke. And I'm man enough to say I fight man tears EVERY time I see IRON GIANT.

Crap. And I was just trying to make him more at ease by making light of it :-)

I love the shadow of the Moon on the Earth. It's surprising how many "from-space" illustrations forget things like that.

From your phrasing, it sounds like you';re describing a lunar eclipse, Michael.  That's not what's depicted in the illustration.  We're just seeing a portion of Earth's nightside, which is essentially the shadow of the Earth on the Earth.  Which admittedly is often forgotten in illustrations, not by JB of course.

JB, wonderful work - thanks for sharing it.
