Robert Cooke you are neither a mind reader, a red shirt wearer or a martyr. You sir are a first class asshole! Just to play on the topic of this thread, I know I'm not the only one who thinks it!

So, just to be clear, Paul is calling Robert an asshole, right?

It is the fate of all artists and visionaries to be envied and reviled for their artistry.

Unfortunately, there will never be a shortage of ePenis waving when you have autonomy through the Internet.

I think I read that on a fortune cookie somewhere...

JB:

...part of a preprogramed set of ticks and mannerisms that are very much the opposite of communication.

They're internet 'catch phrases', really. It's almost as if people are conditioned  by reruns of Friends ('Could these cliches BE any more annoying?') and Seinfeld('So I'm doing a bit about cliches...not that there's anything WRONG with cliches..but WHAT is the DEAL with CLICHES?') to speak in 'catchy and memorable' phrases!

So lotsa people use 'em to try to sound 'kewl'.

I know I'm guilty of recently using "am I the only one" since I posted on a thread last week asking if I was the only one who thought that JB's X-Men commissions were getting better over time.

In any case, I'm all for eliminating many of the silly internet message boardisms.  While were at it, can we do away with "in my opinion", "in my humble opinion", "with all due respect" and some of the obvious others?

Hate to give this Cooke his 15 seconds of fame, but I noticed troughout his impotent rant, that he never gave any examples to back up his claims.  Oh, well, if the rest of the internet shares his trollish views, I think I'll stick with most of the folks of this Forum instead.
