Biggest problem with the Wrecking Crew costumes, aside from the Wrecker, is that they aren't "blue collar" enough. You don't get a sense that these are guys who'd work a construction -- or, more correctly, demolition -- crew. Two of them have buccaneer boots, fer cryin' out loud! And what's with Piledriver and those 3/4 sleeves? How Sweet William can you get?

An excellent piece again JB. I'm always interested in seeing the process as a former wannabe artist myself. Can't draw anymore sinec I developed a touch of arthritis-not enough to be in constant pain but bad enough that I can't hold a pen or brush comfortably for long.

I'm sorry you were frustrated by people that couldn't wait to see-or read apparently. I understand your feelings but please don't hold back on doing something like this again way down the road sometime.

I wonder: did it take as long to scan in the different
steps as it did to draw each step?

****

Well, I sure did get my morning's exercise trotting
back and forth between the drawingboard and the
scanner!

Mr. Byrne - Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. I can't even tell you how many thousands of art questions this has answered for me. Your generosity with your fans on this board is always much appreciated, and I hope you know that.

Thanks for sharing this, JB! One of my favorite parts of being on this site is seeing so many scans of your original artwork. Seeing a step-by-step is just too cool for words.

Oh my, so it really WAS as bad as I'd imagined.  I was hoping for your sake the scanner sat right beside you!

That is so cool! I'm really glad to see the process too, that's very interesting! What an amazing piece of work! Awesome commission. I don't really know who Iron Fist is, but over the last week or so seeing JB's work makes him seem like he's worth reading about and I'm getting the urge to draw him too lol.

Maybe you'd like to tell me now why I shouldn't kick your miserable asses off the Forum?

Because I did not click on the link you said not to click on until the "you asked for it" came up when my cursor was near it.  To me, that meant either "it's ready" (and I think it was, because it was done and there were posts when I went to reply) or some kind of spoiler warning to something fun.  "Don't do this.  Ok, you asked for it."  Which did not indicate that something was not finished.  Instead it indicated to me that something was there to click on, if I were sure I wanted to see it.  Since it came from you, I wanted to see it.

Or maybe, this does not apply to me, since people had posted by the time I could, and I just think I was early.  I really do not know.  Were people viewing it before you could reply, before the final image was there?  My visit allowed me to see the final image.  Could I have viewed it too early and still seen the final image, or am I worried about offending you without doing that which offended you?

Serious joke:  did I just invent a new sweater color with that last line?  Please, JB, put me in my place if I did something wrong.  I would hate to do it again.

edited for spelling

Only in the wild world wide web can people read the words "Don't do it" and think it's okay to do. It's like the old screwy saying "her lips say no, but she really means yes".

Sorry, I just went and checked the times.  I viewed & posted 14 minutes after the first image was posted, 11 minutes after the last image was posted, and 7 minutes after JB posted his first comment.  I no longer think this applies to me.

Whew!
