I feel bad for saying this about a legendary inker in the field (and from what I've read, a very nice guy to boot), but I always felt that Sinnott came very close to 'pulling a Nelson' on JB's pencils, even when they were more than just breakdowns. Still, I feel that he's to Marvel as Dick Giordano was to DC in the inking department.

"As you can probably tell, the pencils on this issue were quite a bit tighter than what I had previously given him on FF."

I'm surprised to read this.  The artwork looked so different than what I was used to seeing from JB at the time, I assumed that just the opposite was the case.  Either way, I don't much care for the result.  My favorite inker for JB was, is, and always will be: JB himself.

I agree Josh.  I always thought that they were loose break downs until now.  One of my favorite cross over stories.

The shots of Thor and The Vision in this are among the best ever drawn.  Great stuff here, JB!

I also really want to praise the rhythmic simplicity and elegance of Roger Stern's writing.  It is excellent.

Like others here, I never particularly liked the match of Sinnott over Byrne and this issue was no exception. (I'd have to look them up to be sure but I don't recall disliking his XMHY guest inks so much.)

Sinnott over Kirby on the other hand was a match made in Heaven.

I've always loved Thor's reaction to his hammer entering the field and ...simply dropping.
Perfect "uh oh, now what am I gonna" do look on his face.
