I too, never noticed Shaman's costume changed from issue to issue. Hmmm. I'll have to break these out soon and go for a re-read.
Cool Shaman drawering, by the way.

I always did have a fascination for that character when you wrote him in the original Alpha Flight series 20-odd years ago. Perhaps it was the concept of a Native American who wasn't being presented in the Hollywood "Me see-um bad guy!" mode. Neither was he the angry youth that Thunderbird was introduced as in GS X-Men 1 (1975). It was an altogether different backstory that brought light to the conflicts between Michael Twoyoungmen's ancestral ways and the modern world he had been brought up into prior to his joining Alpha Flight.

I remember the "Smart Alec peeking into the bag and going mad" moment
as one of my favorite comic book scenes as it was played out (with panel
stats).

In the Alpha Flight/X-Men mini-series, Paul Smith showed a galaxy inside
Shaman's pouch. It was this close from spoiling a good thing.

Jon Watkins, do you mean issue 18 of Alpha Flight, the segmented cover? "Shaman Meets the Ultimate Menace!"

There was a FF issue JB did around the same time that said "Evening of the Witch" on the cover, but somewhat similar idea. Both are great stories (and covers.)

Tough call, especially since he's dead now...
Or as dead as any comic character can get anyways.

Correct. Thankfully it appears in the current Omega Flight series that he is still around in one form or another.
Great drawing JB.

Great, GREAT image! Love it. Really need to read through those AF issues soon. Some time is opening up. Maybe that's what I should go for first.
OT: Flavio - what is that new avatar you have? Just curious.
