JB, I think in an other thread some time ago you mentioned discussing with Terry Austin the possibility of doing some joint recreations/comission pieces for e-bay or some such.

Although I loved your recreation of this piece,JB,  I would REALLY have loved to see it recreated by you and Terry Austin. Any chance of something like that in the future?

Cool page.

OH MY GOD

To get a pencil / ink commission from Byrne & Austin  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That should be a whole new type of commission.

Only one thing better than X-Men by Byrne and that's X-men by Byrne & Austin !!

Geez, my high bid lasted less than an hour, jumping to over a grand already.  Good luck to all of you still in the hunt!

Terry and I have talked about doing some pieces, but recreations would be a major waste of my time, wouldn't they? Trace the pencils in pencil so Terry can ink them? Why not have Terry go straight to inks?

Seems like everything Terry and I have done together for the past 10 or fifteen years has elicited groans of "It's not the same!" and "The old stuff was better!" I'd sure hate to hear that from somebody who had coughed up a couple of grand for a commission!

If the view count on this thread is correct, this page should sell for quite a few wooden nickels. Plus a few real ones.

Paul -

Ha! I hadn't noticed that Thread Count number.

There must be a LOT of people interested in this!

I wonder if there are any stories out there on the news services . . .

That count is probably a false number. Every so
often the counter gets skewed for no particular
reason, then resets itself.
