I think I'm going to end up paying more for issue 8 than I did for all the other 11 combined unless my LCS has it in stock.
Not that that is a problem, works out to about £6.75 for all 12.  Complete bargain.

After being told there was a face, I could begin to make outlines of it - starting with the eyes.  Issue #7 was apparent.  But I never would have thought of it without someone telling me first.

Also, for people having trouble - the "face" is suggestive only.  It's not a magic eye sort of thing.  (Unless it is - and I'm still clueless!)

Since DC seems to move the Showcase Presents series into post-crisis reprints as long as they have long runs with a limited set of contributors, I would love to see a Showcase Presents: Generations 1-3. (Everything included). It would probably be way over 600 pages, though. (not that that's a bad thing.)

Has this been collected in a trade yet? I was poking around a shop the other
day asking about it - no one knew

Great Scott!
I never noticed it! Nice idea, JB.

GENERATIONS 3 hasn't a big luck: no trade in the US, no trade in Italy (while the 2 previous miniseries were reprinted in 2 trades each).

I find it odd that the first two Generations were collected and not this one. Were sales lower on this? Were the Generations trades not doing well? This seems like it would be a slam dunk.

I like Generations 3 the best of the series. A really great superhero comic,
top to bottom.

I didn't know it, I have the 12 comics but I can't imagine that when you put them together the Darkseid face appears, very very cool!!!

A collected edition of GENERATIONS 3 seems more remote the further we get from the original year of publication.

Altho G3 sold just as well as G1 and G2, both of which have been collected in trade paperback, there was much online whining about the end of G3 ("a cheat"), and, as we know, the Companies tend to be ruled by what they see on the internet, however skewed that might be.

Hmmmmmm. It's been a long time since I read G3 -- but I don't remember a "cheat"?
